When visiting our local addiction treatment here in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, I had the pleasure to meet John, who is the manager that oversees the daily operations, and is also a recovery coach who has their own personal journey of recovery. He immediately welcomed me with open arms, showing me around the facility. My first impression was the family feel that the facility had. It is a large home that has been transformed into a residential addiction treatment facility, bringing you the comforts of home into your treatment environment, making this in-patient treatment location perfect for that person who wants to be in a small group facility, one that doesn’t feel like a medical building, and is in a private location, who’s staff is down to earth, and are treated like friends and family. Recovery in Paradise offers individual attention, with the opportunity to participate in group.
The family-feel facility has:
8 Beds (Individual or Shared Rooms)
An open kitchen concept.
Large common area living room.
An outdoor pool & garden to enjoy on those PV sunny days.
Outdoor open air meetings.
Along with the family-feel facility, there are also outdoor adventures to the beach and hiking that are coordinated as a group. You are not bound to the facility, and group outings as wilderness therapy is apart of the healing journey.

Recovery in Paradise has announced that they will be welcoming women into their treatment program for drug & alcohol addiction, as the facility used to be one that only serviced men. This new announcement has put the facility on the map in Puerto Vallarta for ANYONE in need of treatment locally or from around the world. The treatment center has serviced people from Canada, United States, Mexico, and Europe, making it an accessible option for those who would like to go through treatment at a beautiful world known beach location, but in privacy.
Treatment Program
30 Days, 60 Days, 90 Day housing
Initial Dr. visit
Group therapy 5x a week with our Psychotherapist
One on one therapy a minimum of 3x a week with our Drug and Alcohol Counsellor
12 step work with our peer support, NA, AA or CA
3 meals per day plus snacks
