DO YOU HEAR THE CALL?

The call of the unknown asking you to listen. We are constantly navigating the space between polarities, which can become very stressful and cause a lifestyle of chaos and illness. Here at our Recovery Wellness Eco-Retreat, we will guide you into connecting to that unknown, so you can intuitively navigate the world around you. A world constantly telling YOU what to do and how to be. What to believe in and what is right or wrong. There is no duality here, only the understanding that YOU are the one you have been waiting for.

Relax. Rebalance. Restore

Welcome to an exciting adventure into your recovery! If you are reading this, you are already changing, shifting into a new you. Our Recovery Wellness Eco-Retreat is perfect for anybody who is sober curious, working through unhealthy addictive behaviors/patterns, over-stressed and wants to learn healthy coping tools, has worked on their own recovery in substance abuse, or who has already been to rehab and looking to propel their recovery through yoga classes & philosophy, meditation, nutrition, nervous system regulation, energy work, wilderness therapy, and transformational recovery coaching; a type of coaching focused on enabling self-actualization.

Who do you want to be? What will make your process transformational is learning and doing what it takes to grow into the embodiment of that choice in being. The driving question remains grounded in a choice in being: Who do I need to be in order for my goals or dreams to become a reality? The ‘becoming’ process is the transformational path, and the end game is the embodiment of higher than realized levels of existence.

Our 8 day recovery wellness eco-retreat is held in a small fishing village right outside of Puerto Vallarta, MX, called Yelapa, Mexico. It is a retreat to come together and connect with people in recovery, whether it be alcohol, drugs, or addictive behavior, who also want to make a positive change in their life, but would like to enjoy a sober vacation as well.

We created this retreat because we know how important it is to support someone who is going through deep transformation, but feels stuck. Many people still haven't been taught the necessary tools needed to maintain long term sobriety or healthy habits, like how to use meditation as a tool towards mindfulness, ways in which nutrition can reduce unhealthy cravings, how to build new healthy habits, and nurture or create new social circles. This retreat is focused in guiding & supporting you to develop yourself deeper in each of those areas.

This unique retreat is perfect for anybody who is sober curious, in addiction recovery from substance abuse, or any kind of unhealthy addictive behaviors/patterns, who is over-stressed and wants to learn healthy ways to manage their stress, and who are looking to empower themselves by experiencing & learning holistic wellness options, while enjoying a sober vacation.

Yoga, and its philosophy is a way of being, it is a way in which you develop self inquiry, a new lifestyle, habits, friends, environment, and romantic relationships, that are supportive, nurturing, and inspiring. Yoga is just one of many ways in which you are able to connect to your body, mind, and soul, so if you are new to yoga, take this as an opportunity to explore it’s philosophy & how it can support you in developing the life that you want to lead.

Yoga is not a religion, it's a philosophy that is studied as a guiding map into the mind's continuous fluctuation, it will help you build strength, awareness, harmony, and a higher state of consciousness. You will naturally begin to make positive changes in your life through its diligent practice.

Your ability to make positive changes naturally occurs as patterns of behaviors shift and layers of self-destruction, self-deception and unhealthy attachments are released. • Interdependent relationships vs. codependency

  • Somatic practices, a toolbox for trauma triggers and troubling times

Integrative Nutrition

Includes 1, 2hr group session

Integrative Nutrition is a type of philosophy in which we look at balancing our primary and secondary foods.  Primary foods, are not actually foods, but a way in which you can see how all areas of your life are connected, and where you can discover which primary foods (relationships, health, spirituality, joy, home environment, etc) need attention in order to create the life you love.

Secondary foods, which is nutrition, is the foundation of how you are each and every day.  It is the catalyst that either makes you feel fantastic, or not. It is what creates your mental clarity, mood, energy, ambition, creativity, body mass, and much much more!

Understanding the interconnection of primary and secondary foods will propel you into a deeper state of awareness.  You will achieve this through discussion, and will identify your Ayurvedic constitution, (a person's unique ratio of vata, pitta, and kapha), which is the blueprint to achieve optimal health.  We will discuss how to incorporate certain herbs, foods, and food combinations to balance your dosha.

Chef-Prepared Vegetarian Meals

Includes 3 daily dishes (breakfast, lunch, dinner)

Beautifully prepared meals will mostly comprise of a plant-based menu, with 3 fresh fish dinner or lunch plates (can be substituted for a vegetarian plate).  Plates will be nourishing, original, and delicious, and will be inspired by the local Mexican cuisine or Ayurveda, as others will be prepared with more simple flavors from the earth, connecting you deeply to the taste of that single fruit, vegetable or grain.  Medicinal teas and water will be served.

KAP (Kundalini Activation Process)

KAP for Addiction Recovery

Includes 1, 2.5 hr session

The Most Transformative Process You’ve Never Heard Of

For thousands of years, yogi’s have been trying to awaken their Kundalini in order to work through their karma, connect to the bliss that is our human birthright, and attain higher states of consciousness. Writer and yogi Gopi Krishna, calls Kundalini the “evolutionary energy in man” and famed psychoanalyst Carl G. Jung professed that an awakened Kundalini was an essential element in becoming a fully integrated human.

While the concept of Kundalini is still a foreign one in our Western culture, civilizations throughout the ages have understood both it’s power and it’s necessity, not only for spiritual pursuit, but in order for us live our highest potential as a human… physically, mentally and emotionally.

KAP: Kundalini Activation Process, is a direct energy transmission that opens and awakens the stagnant energy pathways within the human mechanism, resulting in a clearing of old blockages that have accumulated over lifetimes and manifested in various types of mental, emotional and physical restrictions.

This propulsion of life-force energy often brings an abundance of mental clarity, creativity, emotional healing and spiritual awakening as it allows us to uncover deeper layers of self and connect to our authentic truths through higher states of consciousness.

The KAP modality ignites this process in a safe and effective way, and once this process initiates, a profound rewiring of the brain structure and central nervous system begins and will continue, facilitating a deep growth and evolution of self that is so often unattainable via other methods.

Sound HEALING

Includes 1, 1.5hr session

  • Elevates your vibration, releasing stress, anxiety, facilitating a more restful sleep.

  • Alines emotions, increases spiritual awakening and our creativity.

  • Stimulates alpha waves.

  • Balances the chakras which brings us to a higher state of consciousness , gratitude, happiness and inner peace.

  • Cleans the Aura.

  • Stimulates a more efficient self healing process.

The true purpose of meditation is to develop the ability to notice thoughts as thoughts, and to no longer identify with them.

Your Guides

Julia Araiz ALLSHOUSE | Yoga Teacher | Holistic Health Coach

Julia is originally from Pittsburgh, PA, who has been living within the culture and country of Mexico for over a decade. She comes from a family with mental illness and addiction, and always knew she didn't want to trigger the possibility of repeating the same pattern. There came a time in her life, where unhealthy relationships were effecting her deeply, causing depression and an unhealthy lifestyle, not knowing how to overcome. It actually took her years to make the decision to attend a yoga class, and when she did, it all went up hill from there. It changed her life forever, and she wants nothing more than to inspire yours!

Julia is a certified holistic health counselor from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, a E-RYT 200hr, & RYT 500hr Yoga Alliance Certified teacher with trainings from Drishti Yoga International, & Samadhi Yoga Ashram, specializing in traditional tantra kundalini & hatha yoga rooted in Himalayan yoga tradition, and have completed her Anusara 100 hr immersion training based in hatha tradition. Her philosophy is that nutrition and yoga are synergetic in creating overall wellness. She believes that the foundation of both aspects in one’s life can create a heightened vibrational nature, which enables joy, clarity, and the desire to transform. She is able to teach many styles from strenuous to restorative and understands yoga as an energy-based healing art for the integration of body, mind, emotions, and spirit.

TisanA Scanlan | Transformational Recovery CoacH | YOGA TEACHER

Tisana is a Transformational Recovery and Integration Coach with Being True To You, a 200 hr Yoga Alliance Certified teacher at Yandara in Baja, and a graduate of Y12SR (Yoga of 12-Step Recovery) with Nikki Myers.

Tisana is from London, England, and has been living between Mexico and England for several years. Her personal recovery from addiction led her to the yogic path and a myriad of healing modalities including plant medicine ceremonies, the 12 Steps, Family Constellations, 5Rhythms and psychedelic/trauma therapy.  Long-term sobriety has gifted her with personal knowledge of the path of recovery and the wealth of tools available. Yoga, meditation, dance, breath work, exercise, and diet have been foundational for her personal healing. This inspired her to train as a recovery coach and she brings her own unique blend of her experiences and training to her coaching sessions. She appreciates that each person is unique and must find their own way to their true self and to self love. Her role is to guide, reflect, motivate, and empower you to be the very best you can be in this moment.

BARBARA BLUM | KAP FACILITATOR | YOGA TEACHER

Barbara is from San Francisco, California, who has made Yelapa, MX her home. She is a 500hr Yoga Alliance Certified teacher, with 150hr hatha & meditation training, 80hr meditation teacher training, and is a level 2 KAP (Kundalini Activation Process) facilitator. Decades of embodied practices, including ten years as a professional dancer, to over 15yrs of teaching yoga, have brought a unique depth of understanding on the mind/body/spirit principal of union. Over the last several years, a strong commitment to spiritual growth has evoked a series of ever-deepening, transformative awakenings, bringing Barbara to a place of direct connectivity to Divine energies, which she transmits during her energy sessions.

During this committed pursuit, Barbara has accrued a vast background of experiences alongside an intellectual understanding in both the traditional teachings of India as well as that of the modern mystics, bringing a well-rounded approach to this path toward wholeness. Barbara’s deep well of experience in conjunction with an even deeper desire toward self-realization now leads her to stretch beyond lineages, and she find herself directly connected to Source energy itself. This connection brings with it a very clear directive that expands far beyond personal evolution… one that calls for service to humanity at large. In being a conduit for Divine energy, she shares simply:

“My duty has become clear: Awaken, and assist in the awakening in others.”
