Julia Allshouse

personal transformation retreat leader | intuitive spirit guide | sacred space holder | Registered Yoga Teacher | certified integrative Holistic Health CoacH | certified Shaking Medicine Teacher in tension, stress & trauma release | TRE provider in tension release exercises

Julia is originally from Pittsburgh, PA, with over a decade living in the beautiful country of Mexico. While in Mexico, Julia started her own Yoga Studio & Wellness Practice called Vikara Wellness based out of her home in Puerto Vallarta in 2012. During that time, she also began an ambitious venture by working side by side with the owner of Moffitt Wellness Retreat, a Drug & Alcohol Rehabilitation Program, as the Operations Director & Yoga Teacher.

With inspiration through spiritual ceremony, Julia began expanding out her wellness movement to create a unity between community yoga teachers, transformational and trauma informed coaches, spiritual guides, and students a like, specializing in creating holistic wellness programs for recovery in Yelapa, Mexico, along with destination recovery & holistic wellness retreats & custom programs for those who are passionate about expanding their physical, mental, emotional, and behavioral blueprint towards personal transformation.

Julia has a passion in educating people who struggle with mental illness and all kinds of addiction, because she comes from a family who have had to navigate the world of mental illness and addiction, and always knew she didn't want to trigger the possibility of repeating the same pattern.

There came a time in her life, when unhealthy relationships were affecting her deeply, causing depression and an unhealthy lifestyle, not knowing how to overcome.

It actually took her years to make the decision to attend a yoga class, and when she did, it all went uphill from there. It changed her life forever, and she wants nothing more than to inspire yours!

Julia was introduced to Shaking Medicine while she was in the process of becoming a TRE Provider, and felt that the expansive knowledge of movements, shapes, and unique techniques to tap into therapeutic tremoring, fit the mind/body/spirit connection in a deeper way, as well as gave a broader range in motion to explore the body. She decided to complete her TRE Provider certification, along with her certification in therapeutic tremoring for tension, stress, anxiety, ptsd, and the effects of trauma with Shaking Medicine, to incorporate a hybrid approach of somatic-based practices in her retreats and local community.

Julia is a certified holistic health counselor from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, a E-RYT 200hr, & RYT 500hr Yoga Alliance Certified experienced teacher with trainings from Drishti Yoga International, & Samadhi Yoga Ashram, based out of Rishikesh, India, specializing in traditional tantra kundalini & hatha yoga rooted in Himalayan yoga tradition, a certified Shaking Medicine Teacher with education in TRE, and have completed her Anusara 100 hr immersion training based in hatha tradition with Sarah Faircloth.

Julia also brings to her unique themed classes a knowledge of the physical and the energy bodies combined with an understanding of the philosophy of yoga and has the ability to adapt to individual needs. The insights and affirmations she shares comes from both guidance from spirit and from her own experiences. She encourages her students to listen and lead from the heart, which gives them the opportunity to discover their inner teacher and pure potential.

She is a 500hr Yoga Alliance Certified teacher, with 150hr hatha & meditation training, 80hr meditation teacher training, and is a level 2 KAP facilitator. Over the last several years, a strong commitment to spiritual growth has evoked a series of ever-deepening, transformative awakenings, bringing Barbara to a place of direct connectivity to Divine energies, which she transmits during her energy sessions.

During this committed pursuit, Barbara has accrued a vast background of experiences alongside an intellectual understanding in both the traditional teachings of India as well as that of the modern mystics, bringing a well-rounded approach to this path toward wholeness. Barbara’s deep well of experience in conjunction with an even deeper desire toward self-realization now leads her to stretch beyond lineages, and she find herself directly connected to Source energy itself. This connection brings with it a very clear directive that expands far beyond personal evolution… one that calls for service to humanity at large. Mesa Elaine

certified Yoga Teacher & SUP YOGA Instructor

Hello, my name is Mesa! I was born and raised in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. This gave me a strong connection to our Mother Earth, the elements and a drive to understand our connection with her better. We are all having an experience unique to us. We ebb and flow, make mistakes and grow, and it’s all part of being human. I believe one of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves is to show up. Even if it is hard and messy. I enjoy holding space for people to show up, dive deeper into this experience and see what lies beneath. I first discovered yoga while taking dance classes in the small mountain community I grew up in. What started as a means to be flexible and limber soon grew into a passion leading me down a path of personal and spiritual growth.

Over the next few years I practiced yoga of various modalities until an inner spark of curiosity for something deeper led me to a 200 hour yoga teacher training in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This is where my journey into self study began. Two years after completing my training I moved to Mexico where I dove deeper into my practice and began teaching on a regular basis. It was here that I fell in love with sharing the practice of yoga with others and holding space for personal experience and growth.

I have also completed my SUP YOGA training in the summer of 2020 and have enjoyed teaching classes as well as leading excursions. I am thrilled to share this joy with you! Join me on the water for an experience that will leave you smiling for days! Whether that be through yoga, time in nature with my standup paddle board, or community, I strive to bring people home to themselves in a way that is honest, inclusive and lighthearted.

Pete

Sound Healer & Ceremony Guide

Pete was born in United States and moved to Mexico 10 years ago. He originally came to Mexico to be treated with Ibogaine for opiate addiction (which started after he became paralyzed in a snowboarding accident in 2004 and was prescribed opiates for pain).

That experience changed his own life in a profound way, and showed him the tremendous healing power of connection to ourselves, nature, and others. The experience also set him on the beautiful and fulfilling path of helping people in their own struggle through connection, and by facilitating moments, spaces, and ceremonies for people in need.

Immediately after his own treatment, he began assisting with aftercare for those who had undergone Ibogaine treatment, and he found great joy in sharing that experience with others and facilitating the integration of that experience into their daily lives.

Pete is a music producer, photographer and visionary artist. His love of life and nature and his very characteristic sense of humor keep his heart young. He has a special connection with all children. He loves to share love and joy with friends, and he always keeps a positive and real point of view, finding the beauty in every situation and in every person. He has been volunteering for Entre Amigos (a community center in San Pancho), teaching art to kids and helping with other art projects.
